Richard Lyntton contacted me about setting up a website for his thriller series. His project was a little different, he explained, because he would be self-publishing. He also remarked that all the websites he saw in my portfolio were for female authors… and was this intentional? I hadn’t noticed before, but both were true! So Richard’s project was my first for a self-published male author. This didn’t make any difference to the work, of course – the cover for North Korea Deception is straight up thriller, and I had a lot of fun with the design and typography. We had to figure out how to do some of the reader engagement and email capture pieces a little differently from a traditionally published book, but this was an excellent learning experience for me!
