I love the work that I do for the Boston area hospitals. Since much of their branding is already established, I get to really focus on content organization, information design, and copy editing. One of my biggest pet peeves is wordy sites with redundant content (that scrolls on and on), so I’m always careful to make my designs as compact as possible. It helps that I’m a writer, because I do a lot of content editing while I’m designing and programming, making sure copy is concise, fits in the allotted space, looks good on the page – it truly is a balance between form and function, and getting it right is one of the most satisfying parts of my job as a designer!
