Redesigning Grace Lin’s website was a huge and satisfying project. For those of you who don’t know Grace, she is a prolific, bestselling children’s author and illustrator who has won just about every award imaginable! Her old website, however, was outdated and clunky, and didn’t reflect her professionalism. I first met Grace when she came to visit my kids’ school, and followed up with her about a website redesign. I knew she was super busy, so after hashing out the site structure, I pretty much ran with it. I used media carousels to showcase all her beautiful, colorful books, and reorganized and condensed her content so that it was easily accessible using fewer clicks. Her site has tons of activities for kids, and given the pandemic, we made sure those were featured.

It was a big project, but the new site is streamlined, efficient, easy to use, and showcases her gorgeous artwork. I love working with colorful art, and I hope I’ll get to design more children’s book sites in the future! Visit: gracelin.com.
