Janice Weber is both a prolific author AND a concert pianist, and I designed her first website years and years ago. When she contacted me out of the blue, I was so happy to hear from her – what a blast from the past! In those days I hadn’t yet become an author myself, I don’t think I’d even started writing at all!
Janice’s original site featured both her author and pianist personas equally on the Home page. Now she wanted to revamp her site to showcase her Author side – though she didn’t want to get rid of the Pianist completely. I decided to use a split banner on her Home page, devoting slightly more real estate to a bookish image, and also showcasing her SEVEN novel covers in a book carousel below. Pianist is accessible, and her recordings, musician’s bio, and reviews are all there, but under a single tab. I love the look and feel of this site, a little moody and artsy – and super easy to navigate.
